Birding for Families

Join us for Birding for Families
Dates: April 21, April 28, May 5, and May 12
Time: 9:00am to 11:00am
Location: Meet at the SABNES Nature House (750 Marine Park Dr). We’ll start at the Nature Centre and slowly walk to the end of the Salmon Arm Wharf.

These free events, in partnership with NatureKids BC and the Salmon Arm Bay Nature Enhancement Society (SABNES), are open to the public. Family groups of any size and single adults are welcome. Washrooms are available on-site.

Enjoy a morning walk with local nature experts. Our focus will be on observing Western Grebes, including the possibility of witnessing their courtship “dancing” displays, as well as other waterfowl. We’ll have several spotting scopes to help children and adults get great views of common birds. Please note that this event is not suitable for dogs.
