Larch Hills Nordic Ski Swap, Saturday, Oct. 22, starting at 11 am at Kings Christian School, Salmon Arm. Equipment drop off at Skookum Cycle beforehand, or onsite 8:30-10:30 am beforehand. Visit www.skilarchhills.ca
Eagle River Nature Trails Clean-up Blitz - this Sunday, Oct. 23, 9 am - 1:30 pm. Meet at the Cedars Campground on the Malakwa frontage road east of Sicamous. Bring your pruners, work gloves, and smiles. Munchies and lunch provided by Sicamous Tim Hortons. For info call Lori at 250-836-2671.
Larch Hills Take-Back-the-Hills Trail Clean-up - also this Sunday, Oct. 23, starting at 9 am at the Larch Hills Chalet. Lunch at noon. Bring finger food to share. Come out and help get the ski trails ready for winter. Info www.skilarchhills.ca
Salmon Arm Greenways Strategy goes to public hearing, Wednesday, Oct. 26, 7 pm at Salmon Arm City Hall. All are encouraged to let council know you support the strategic development of greenways, including connective pedestrian and cycling corridors, throughout our communities. Info www.salmonarm.ca

Saturday, Oct. 22: Join Host: Celia Nord (Archeologist and Naturalist, Adams River Salmon Society), Roderick Haig-Brown Top Loop. Ability Level -- Moderate, Time: 3 hours. Meet 8:30 am at Salmon Arm Rec Centre Parking Lot, or 9:00 am in the Upper Roderick Haig-Brown (Adams River) Parking lot (on the east side of the Adams River bridge north of Squilax.)
Partnering together, Shuswap Hospice Society, Shuswap Trail Alliance and Active Salmon Arm are pleased to present fully guided Fall Hikes. Join us in the outdoors for some enjoyable friendly hiking. Future upcoming hikes and guest hosts include:
• Saturday, Oct. 29: Join Host: Jaana Mainprize on Scotch Creek Lookout Trail to Hlina Loop. Ability Level—Moderate, off trail route, 6.5kms.moderate. Time: 2.5 hours
PRE-REGISTER by calling the Shuswap Hospice Society at 250-832-7099.
COST of each hike is $10 per individual or $25 per family. The proceeds go to Shuswap Hospice Society and cover the cost of insurance.
BRING appropriate gear for cold and/or wet weather, including a toque, good comfortable walking shoes, food/snacks/lunch, water, day pack and a camera!
