Villains and Vittles Dinner Theatre at R.J. Haney Heritage Village
August 1, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, repeating until August 30, 2021
R.J. Haney Heritage Village is celebrating twenty-seven years of Villains and Vittles Dinner Theatre Productions. This season the Village is proud to present on the stage of the SASCU Amphitheatre “From Haney – With Love.”
When Carly Youngflower arrives in town, Peter Hudson falls in love at first sight. Even though he has never spoken to her, Peter knows that she loves him as well.
The Chautauqua, an educational and entertainment show that travels across North America, is coming to town next week. As part of the educational component, Miss Halpenny’s class has been asked to prepare a pageant that shows the town’s history. Miss Halpenny has asked Peter and his sister Mary to take on lead roles in the pageant. What will happen when Carly joins the cast?
Our talented cast of “From Haney – With Love” is Natalie Kearl as Miss Halpenny,
Glitter Esquivias as Mary Hudson, Griffin Webber as Peter Hudson and Ava Turner as Carly Youngflower.
The show will take the format of a radio play on the air at H-A-N-Y Radio. Join us for an evening full of imaginative dialogue, toe-tapping songs, and sound effects that bring the characters to life in this incredible live performance.
Back for his eleventh successful season as writer and director is the local playwright, Peter Blacklock. Peter fills his plays with original musical scores and humorous storytelling that will whisk you away to not so far off places while sharing our history along the way.
We wanted to be light-hearted and caring with this presentation and give the love back to the community shown to Haney, especially through the darkness of the past year.
Opening night is July 4, with shows every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings in July and August and a special matinee performance on Thursday, August 19.
Check-in starts at 5:00 pm. Come and enjoy a home-cooked dinner with all the pioneer fixings served from the Sprig of Heather restaurant, and dessert will follow the play with homemade rhubarb crisp and ice cream. Adults $35, seniors $32.50, children five to twelve are $15 and children four and under are FREE. Reservations are a must!
