Farmers' Markets

Good From the Ground Up!  - Stock Up On Shuswap Tatses

The Shuswap is one of the most fertile areas of BC, rich with fruit, produce, fresh milk and artisan cheese.

You’ll find the tastes of our home wherever you go – at orchards, gardens, ranches, cafés, greenhouses, dairies, markets, and more. Fresh milk and traditional artisan cheeses – not to mention mind-blowing ice cream! – all contribute to the Shuswap taste extravaganza.

With farmers’ markets across the region, you can easily find a bounty of locally grown and organic fruits, vegetables, and meats – as well as crafts, baked goods, preserves, and more. How do our gardens grow, you ask? If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to work on a farm, you can get a taste of the agricultural life while you’re here, too. The Shuswap provides visitors with opportunities to experience farming and agriculture first hand.

Come visit our ranches and gardens to find out what our local farmers already know: that working with the land can be blissful rest for the soul. During the summer and fall, visitors can participate in workshops and tours at some farms, and talk with experienced growers before taking home vegetable and bedding plants for their own gardens.
