The Shuswap is located on the Trans-Canada Highway, halfway between Vancouver and Calgary. If you are going through the Okanagan, Highway 97a connects with the Trans-Canada at Sicamous and Highway 97b connects at Salmon Arm.
From Vancouver you follow the Trans-Canada along the Fraser River Canyon route or take the faster Coquihallla Highway 5.
From Calgary, follow the Trans-Canada West past Revelstoke, until you get to the warm and inviting Shuswap Lake system.
From Edmonton, take the Yellowhead Highway to Kamloops, then head East out of the desert into the lush forested Shuswap.
