Rushing water means danger

VICTORIA – While over half of all flood-related drownings occur when a vehicle is driven into hazardous flood water, the next highest percentage of flood-related deaths is due to walking into or near flood waters.

SAGA Public Art Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of paintings and ceramic sculpture by Rosanna Marmont entitled "Land/Landed/Landless."

SAGA Public Art Gallery in Salmon Arm, BC is pleased to present an exhibition of paintings and ceramic sculpture by Rosanna Marmont entitled "Land/Landed/Landless."  Rosanna currently resides in Falkland, BC and has completed an apprenticeship with Saskatchewan ceramicist Martin Tagsleth.  The paintings and drawings completed during that period will be part of this exhibition.

New to the Shuswap Region: Visitor Friendly Program

The attached poster is only the first step with quite a few more components to come. First Step: General Public Education, there will also be a visitor component tied to participating local businesses. Visitors will be able to nominate a business based on their experience and if they felt that they were visitor friendly. The visitors will have a chance to win prizes and businesses will have a chance to be nominated with a Visitor Friendly Award. It’s a win/win for everyone!
