After a very successful 2016 spring and summer of touring with their full length album “On The Dusty Trail” and playing at festivals all over Western Canada including the Mission Folk Music Festival in BC and Fire and Water Festival in Manitoba, Chicken-Like Birds are gearing up to do it all again in 2017. Along with a suitcase drum, upright bass and interesting harmonies, listeners will be treated to a tasty marriage of roots, blues, swing and ragtime that the Canadian Pacific Blues Society has called a “fantastic old- school acoustic experience.”

Chicken-Like Birds are the combination of Ari Lantela who is known for his refined sloppy blues guitar picking and Jasmin Frederickson on double bass. Together they sing their original songs about adventure, independent women, cooking and the pair's strange relationship. Slap in some on-stage antics, a few funny stories and some strangely endearing awkwardness and that'll be the Birds.

Now they have a new album to share with us too!
