Snowshoeing

In addition to hiking, there’s exceptional snowshoeing in the Shuswap‚ a direct result of the efforts of the Shuswap Trail Alliance, Larch Hills Nordic Society, and the Columbia Shuswap Regional District - Community Parks and Recreation. These groups have added significant new snowshoe trail routes to the region's winter outdoor playlist. As well, the regions abundant alpine highland and forestry road network provide multiple options for experience backcountry snowshoe touring (route finding and avalanche safety knowledge required.)
