NimbleFingers Bluegrass and Old Time Music Festival & Workshops
Behind the scenes we've been busy beavers planning what we're sure will be another wonderful season of music this August at NimbleFingers. We think you'll be thrilled with the lineup when we release it in January. Here are the 2017 dates:
Week 1 Aug 20th - Aug 25th
The NimbleFingers Festival Aug 26th
Week 2 Aug 28th - Sept 1st
Registration will open in late January, and we'll let you know a week in advance so you'll have some time cruise through the offerings. We're almost done filling in the last few spots, and it's GOING TO BE AMAZING! Did we say that out loud? Sorry, kinda excited, I guess :-)
The NimbleFingers festival promises a jam packed day of some of the top bluegrass and old time performances of the summer here in BC. Loved festival veterans and inspiring new talent. The NimbleFingers combines bluegrass pickers, soulful songwriters and some of the most inspiring musicians to be on display in BC's Bluegrass and Old time music scene.
Annual Nimblefingers Bluegrass and Old Time Workshop
It's and incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in music and be inspired by world class musicians
Spend an inspiring, challenging, and thrilling week with others who share your passion for bluegrass and old-time music! Each August we’re proud to hostNimbleFingers Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Workshop in Sorrento, BC–about 5 hours from Vancouver and 7 hours by car from Calgary between Kamloops and Salmon Arm. We provide a fun, friendly and noncompetitive environment for everyone from beginners to advanced players, with ample opportunity for group learning, electives, organized jam sessions, and many other spontaneous activities.
There are student concerts, band scrambles, instructor concerts, campground picking sessions, hosted jams and old time dances. We hear from many of our regulars that the summer music workshop is what they look forward to the most each year. We offer two separate weeks of workshops, and many of our attendees stay for both. It's a chance to connect with your musical community - learn something new and have some fun at the same time.
